Extension work
 |
1. The Counseling psychology students of the Department of
Psychology, in collaboration with the Counseling Center of SNDT WU, have
completed career testing for students of standard X of the Blossoms High School,
which is also a sister institution under the SNDT trusts umbrella.
The students met parents of the children who were tested and shared finding with
them, and counseled the children.
2. A student of Department of Psychology won the first Runner Up for the
Tejasvini Award competition at SNDT WU, January 2016.
3. The Counseling Psychology program of the Department of Psychology is growing exponentially and currently our students are placed at a wide variety of some of the best schools and career guidance centers in the city, including Disha, Growth Center, Knowledge square, Singhania school, Parle Tilak Vidyalaya, Sharadashram school, People’s Own Education society at Khar, Blossoms school at New Marine Lines, and the Akanksha project schools in Mumbai, among others.
4. The Clinical psychology students are placed at major hospitals including KEM hospital, BYL Nair hospital,
Lokmanya Tilak hospital at Sion, Chhatrapati Shivaji hospital at Kalva, JJ group of hospitals and Regional mental hospital at Thane.
5. The Industrial / organizational psychology students are placed at an ever expanding list of prime companies including Aditya Birla group of companies, Tata Power, Godrej Properties, Larsen and Toubro, and Siemens among many others.
6. The annual feature program of the Department Campus to Career will be in its third edition this academic year, and helps the process of placements. |
